Terms & conditions 

  • The com­pe­ti­tion opens on Tues­day 1st Sep­tem­ber 2026 and clos­es at 11:59pm on Tues­day 15th Sep­tem­ber 2026.
  • Entry is open to Aus­tralian res­i­dents aged 18 years and over.
  • To enter, entrants must com­plete the steps out­lined in the orig­i­nal com­pe­ti­tion post dur­ing the com­pe­ti­tion period.
  • One win­ner will be select­ed at ran­dom and con­tact­ed by an offi­cial McDermott’s Cra­dle Moun­tain Day Tours and Pep­pers Cra­dle Moun­tain Lodge account. The win­ner must respond with­in five busi­ness days, or anoth­er win­ner may be drawn.
  • The prize is for two peo­ple and includes:
    • One night in a Pen­cil Pine Cab­in at Pep­pers Cra­dle Moun­tain Lodge.
    • Break­fast for two on day of check-out.
    • Two pass­es to McDermott’s Park Explor­er Day Tour.
    • Two pass­es to McDermott’s Night Spot­ting Tour.
    • Return McDermott’s trans­fers between Launce­s­ton and Cra­dle Mountain.
  • The prize is lim­it­ed to the inclu­sions list­ed in the orig­i­nal com­pe­ti­tion post. Any­thing not specif­i­cal­ly out­lined is not included.
  • The win­ner and their guest are respon­si­ble for mak­ing their own way to and from Launce­s­ton, includ­ing any flights, accom­mo­da­tion, fuel, park­ing or oth­er trans­port required to reach the McDermott’s col­lec­tion point.
  • The prize does not include trav­el insur­ance, addi­tion­al meals or drinks, inci­den­tal accom­mo­da­tion expens­es, spend­ing mon­ey or any oth­er per­son­al costs.
  • The prize must be booked and trav­el com­plet­ed by 30 June 2027.
  • The prize can­not be redeemed for trav­el dur­ing Decem­ber 2026 or Jan­u­ary 2027.
  • All accom­mo­da­tion and tour book­ings are sub­ject to avail­abil­i­ty. Pre­ferred dates can­not be guar­an­teed, so the win­ner is encour­aged to book early.
  • The prize must be used by the win­ner and their nom­i­nat­ed guest. It can­not be trans­ferred, exchanged, refund­ed or redeemed for cash or credit.
  • No refunds, cash pay­ments or replace­ment ser­vices will be pro­vid­ed for any prize com­po­nents the win­ner or guest choos­es not to use.
  • Tours are sub­ject to weath­er, park access, safe­ty require­ments and McDermott’s oper­at­ing sched­ules. Tour routes or tim­ings may change when nec­es­sary, and wildlife sight­ings on the Night Spot­ting Tour can­not be guaranteed.
  • If a tour can­not oper­ate on the booked date, McDermott’s will work with the win­ner to find anoth­er avail­able date with­in the valid trav­el period.
  • Employ­ees and imme­di­ate fam­i­ly mem­bers of McDermott’s Cra­dle Moun­tain Day Tours and Pep­pers Cra­dle Moun­tain Lodge are not eli­gi­ble to enter.
